Kwanzaa is a gift we give ourselves in loving community.

It’s that time. That moment when the crush of colonial strategies that don’t serve us any longer starts pushing in from every side – it’s “Holiday Time”. This is often a rough time for us Black & Indigenous Trans & Queer folks. It’s a time that can feel like we’re constantly reminded that the world was not meant for us. The truth is though siblings, human societies as they are now built to forget. But our blood remembers that we have always been here, brilliantly making ways and weaving cultural backbones.
This Kwanzaa, let’s share space together to learn, grow hope, acknowledge our pain, and reshape it into joy. Come out on Friday Dec. 29th 4pm – 8pm to Umoja: A Kwanzaa Celebration. RSVP today and don’t miss out on:
- A Plant-Based Caribbean & Soul Food Feast
- Afrobeat/Reggae/Hip-Hop/R&B Vibes
- Open Mic!
- Plant Medicine giveaway
- Collective altar
- And more!
Space is limited so RSVP early!
